And…here we go!

1. Why do we have to go to work?

2. Eating breakfast while checking the internet is now a habit.

3. I have no life.

4. I had never heard the phrase “_____” and it _____. sorry I have nothing here

5. Relaxing the way I always do.

6. How was I to know how hard it would be to keep up with a blog.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to hobby night with friends, tomorrow my plans include sleeping in and Sunday, I want to relax!

Our weekend is now over (yup, with it being Spring Break, our weekend has lasted through Monday).  We spent the weekend in Durand with my parents.  Andrew LOVES going to the farm and spending time with Grandma and Grandpa.

I pulled Andrew out of school early on Friday so we could hit the road.  We drove through some brief snow storms, but made it safely to Durand in time to head to church for the fish fry.  It was as yummy as ever!!  Andrew thoroughly enjoyed the french fries and cupcakes.

Saturday Andrew and Grandpa shelled the popcorn that they had grown last summer.  He loves going with Grandpa and helping him…of course, Andrew plays 20 questions with Grandpa too to learn as much as he can about everything!!  Saturday afternoon, Grandma, Andrew, and I drove to Wabasha, MN to the National Eagle Center.  We had a lot of fun learning about Eagles, and Andrew did a scavenger hunt they had and earned a button for finding almost everything (the few things he couldn’t locate were in a classroom that was full with classes they had going all afternoon).  We even had to borrow some binoculars so Andrew could try to see Eagles.

After learning about Eagles we went to Kellogg, MN to Lark Toys.  We loved browsing through all the toys for sale as well as their vintage toy displays.  They also have an indoor carousel that Andrew enjoyed riding.

Sunday morning we went to the cities to visit with my sisters and their families.  Andrew loves playing with his cousins…even though they are younger than him and (besides baby Evan) all girls!!  The girls had a princess dance party, and since Andrew is not a princess, he played drum for them all…

We even attempted to get a picture of all 5 grandkids together.  After multiple takes, this was the best one…

I’m trying something new…I found a blog through a friend called Friday Fill-In.  Every week  a list of sentences with blanks is posted and you are to fill in the blanks.  We’ll see if I can keep it up.  Here is this weeks Friday Fill In:

1. When I look to the left, I see the window in my craft room.

2. The living room is the room that has the best view in my home.

3. Let it work quickly.

4. Re-decorating done dirt cheap!

5.Taking care of one self is a responsibility that all qualified citizens must share.

6. If you have any ice cream feel free to share with me.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to going to a fish fry, tomorrow my plans include being with my parents and Sunday, I want to relax!

Sorry it has been so long since I’ve blogged.

Andrew’s new teeth are growing in nicely.  He has another tooth that is kind of loose, but not too bad yet.  Unfortunately last week Andrew came down with another strep throat infection.  I was out of town Sunday (more on that later), when Al called me to say that Andrew feels hot and has been just laying on the couch watching TV all day.  By the time I got home Sunday night he had perked up some and didn’t feel hot anymore.  Monday morning he seemed good too, so I sent him off to school (with an e-mail warning to his teacher)…well, he did good at school all day Monday but came home from school and by 5:00 had took himself to bed.  NOT A GOOD THING!  I kept him home from school on Tuesday and took him to the doctor.  He is almost done with Amoxicillan again…6 1/2 years with no antibiotics, and now twice in the course of a couple of months.

Late last week I came down with a cold…I’m assuming from Andrew.  I’m almost over it now though.  So far (knock on wood), Al hasn’t come down with it yet.

Last weekend, I was in the cities to be Godmother at the Baptism of my nephew Evan.  I didn’t have my camera with me, so am getting pictures from my Mom and Sister.  When I get a pic of me and the little guy, I will share it here.

Have a good week!  I will try to update more often, but we just aren’t all that exciting!!
