We were fortunate enough today to be able to attend Packer Training Camp…we’ve lived here almost 8 years and I don’t know why we’ve never made the journey before. We got up early this morning to head out.
The big thing at Training Camp for kids is to bring your bike and some of the Packer players will pick a kid to ride their bike from Lambeau to Nitschkey Field. Andrew was excited…last night we loaded his bike into the car. This morning we get to Lambeau and Andrew joins the gang to wait…
and he waits some more…
Unfortunately, he wasn’t picked the first time around. So he rode his own bike over to Nitschkey to watch practice and wait for practice to be done where maybe someone will pick him to ride his bike back to Lambeau.
Watching practice…check out Aaron Rodgers…
After practice, the waiting begins again…
But this time…he was picked…
and he can’t believe it!
Having a conversation…
We found out later that back-up quarterback Matt Flynn is the one who rode Andrew’s bike…that just made his entire day and the entire trip worthwhile.
While the Packers ate lunch, or had a meeting, or something away from the limelight, the boys had fun in the inflatables…
After the kids were tired from playing (and hungry) we enjoyed lunch in Curly’s Pub…we were lucky enough to grab a table near the windows overlooking the players parking lot…
