We have been very busy lately!!  I have pictures that I will share later, but in order to get this out now, I’m posting without pictures.

Andrew had “Little Olympics” on June 7th.  He did the standing long jump, 60 meter low hurdles, and 60 meter dash.  He had the standing long jump first, and did very well.  He watched the girls and boys who jumped before him so that he would know how best to jump.  We were very proud of him.

After the jump, we waited for the hurdles to start.  He was a little nervous about the hurdles because they were taller than the hurdles they used at school, but still gave a valiant effort.  He tipped over (I think) every hurdle when he tried to jump over it, but still tried at every one and didn’t give up.  He was disappointed that he was last in his heat, but we talked him through it.

While waiting for the dash, it started to rain, and we could see some lightening on the horizon, but after someone checked the radar from their phone and noticed that the storm was going to go north of us so they kept on.  Andrew was happy that he was 3rd in his heat of the dash and left the event in a good mood.

June 10th was the last day of school.  Andrew was quite excited for summer vacation to begin.  We started off summer vacation by going to the pool on a very cold Wednesday because Andrew said we had to go because it was summer.  Luckily the water was very warm, but it was so cold when we got out of the pool.  We survived though!

Last Saturday (the 14th) was Andrew’s birthday party with 2 friends from school.  We took the boys bowling, and then played some arcade games.  Afterwards, we brought the boys to our house for cupcakes and running around outside.  Everyone had fun, and Ronnie enjoyed the plethora of crumbs left for him.
